As the new season approaches, it’s time to get your Stack Team App ready for the year ahead. Whether you’re welcoming new members, refreshing your team’s setup, or updating schedules, these steps will help ensure a smooth transition into 2025. Follow this guide to keep your app organized, up-to-date, and ready to support your team.
Access Groups Rollover to the New SeasonTo ensure your club’s Access Groups are prepared for the new season, there are two approaches you can take.
The
recommended method is to archive your existing Access Groups to preserve their history and create new ones for the upcoming season.
Stack Team App’s bulk import template allows you to easily create new Access Groups in bulk, saving time and effort compared to adding new access groups manually. This approach ensures a clean slate for the season while keeping past records intact.
Alternatively, you can rename your current groups to reflect the new season and manually add or remove members as needed. While quicker, this method allows new members to view the group’s history, which may not be ideal. For this reason, starting fresh by archiving is generally preferred.
Add New Members to Your AppAdding new members is an essential step as the new season begins. Stack Team App offers multiple ways to do this: you can add members individually, import them in bulk using the provided template, or share an invite link so members can join themselves through Stack Team App’s ‘
Invite & Promote’ section.
Once members are added, you can assign them directly to Access Groups, streamlining the process of managing who has access to specific team information. This feature is especially helpful for ensuring everyone is placed in the correct group quickly and efficiently.
Delete MembersIf you’d like to keep your app organised, consider cleaning up your database by removing old members who are no longer part of the team. Stack Team App’s bulk delete feature makes this easy, allowing you to remove inactive members in one go.
However, if your club prefers to maintain archival records, you can choose to keep these members in the app but exclude them from new Access Groups. This approach allows you to retain historical data while focusing your current groups on active participants.
Update Your Team NameAs teams evolve, so do their names. Whether you’re updating the year (e.g., "2024 Team" to "2025 Team") or adjusting for a new age group (e.g., "U14s" to "U15s"), renaming your team in the app ensures clarity and consistency. If your organisation uses our Teams feature, an updated name helps everyone easily identify the correct group and keeps your app looking professional.
Update Old Web LinksIf your app includes links to fixtures, standings, or schedules from the previous season, it’s important to review and update these for the new year. Outdated links can cause confusion, so take the time to replace them with current information. This ensures your members always have access to relevant resources, improving their overall experience.
Create a News Post for the New SeasonKick off the new season with a welcome post in your app’s News section. Use this opportunity to share important updates such as training schedules, key dates, and team goals. A news post also reassures members that they’re in the right group and helps build excitement for the year ahead. It’s a simple yet effective way to keep everyone informed and engaged.
Create a Season-Opening EventStart the season on a high note by creating an event for your team’s first training session, game, or social gathering. Setting up an event with reminders ensures maximum participation and provides a centralized location for members to find all the details. A season-opening event is a great way to bring everyone together and set the tone for the months ahead.
Create a Registration FormSimplify the onboarding process for new members by creating or updating your registration form within the app. This allows parents to register their children or players to sign up quickly and easily, without the hassle of manual paperwork. Collecting details through the app not only saves time but also ensures you have accurate and organized records for the season.
Ready to Start the New Year Right? By taking the time to update and optimize your Stack Team App, you’ll set your team up for success in the 2025 season. From Access Groups to registration forms, these simple steps will ensure your app remains a powerful tool for communication, organization, and engagement. Here’s to another successful year ahead!
