ZERO TOLERANCE STANCE AGAINST POOR BEHAVIOUR
5 Mar by Natasha Kalweit
The Mentone Mustangs takes a ZERO TOLERANCE stance against all forms of poor behaviour towards any players, spectators, referees & coaches.
Parents must NOT approach the score bench at any time during games.
Parents must NOT approach referees, ref supervisors or other spectators at ANY time.
Any issues with scores or referee decisions must be expressed politely to your team manager or coach who will escalate them if they feel it is appropriate.
Referee and Ref Supervisor decisions are final!
Never email the SBA directly, they will not respond to requests for changes to scores by anyone other than the Club.
Coaches, players, referees & ref supervisors are human.
They will make mistakes like the rest of us; allow them that and move on with the game and enjoying basketball.
Remember, treat everyone in basketball how you would like to be treated.
You would not allow someone to come to your place of work and abuse you, so don’t do the same at a referee’s place of work.
The kids play basketball to develop their skills; have fun with friends and play a game they love.
Let’s make sure they can continue doing so by acting as super role models.
