When we begin practices in early August, we will be required to comply with a number of COVID-19 protocols and guidelines set by the Colorado League, Jeffco Public Schools and local land managers. Practices will look different this year but rule 1 will still be FUN. Riders and parents are encouraged to attend this Zoom meeting where we will review these new protocols and answer any questions you have.

New Rider and New Coach Rodeo
All new riders and potential new coaches should plan to attend our New Rider and New Coach Rodeo on Thursday, July 16 from 5:30 – 7 pm at the EHS parking lot. Riders, please bring ONE parent (please no siblings) with you along with your bike, helmet, water, a bike tool and spare tube. We plan to do a gear check, Q&A sessions with riders, parents and potential new coaches, and then go for a short ride. We do need to follow COVID-19 protocols by practicing social distancing, wearing masks, and all attendees will be screened upon arrival. To attend this event:
Riders MUST be registered in the PitZone. New coaches may ride once with the team without registering.

All riders, coaches and parents who attend need to fill out this screening questionnaire within three hours before arriving at the Rodeo.
Sorry for all the “must do” items, but these are all mandated by COVID-19 protocols.

League Registration is Open
Registration for the fall season is open in the Pitzone. If you are a returning rider, click here to access your account. If you are a new rider, you should have received an invitation to join the Pitzone from Booth (email him cbooth@jeffco.k12.co.us if you have not). You MUST register in the Pitzone before practicing with the team or attending an in-person team event. Although there are still many unknowns about the fall races due to COVID-19, this team WILL practice. League registrations are non-refundable.

Moving from TeamSnap to TeamApp
The team is in the process of moving to TeamApp for our primary means of communication. We hope to phase out TeamSnap by the time school starts. TeamApp is a more robust platform and will be helpful as we try to comply with all the COVID-19 protocols. Please download the TeamApp app on your smartphone and then search teams to join “EHS MTB Team”. You can also create an account on your computer by going to www.teamapp.com. Please know that this is still a work in progress and be patient with us as we work out the kinks.

We hope to “see” you all tomorrow, Monday July 13 on Zoom. In the meantime, get out there and ride your bikes!
