The Matale District Introduction to Cricket Coaching Course officially commenced on the 12th of May 2026 with an engaging and educational first day focused on the core disciplines of batting, fast bowling, and spin bowling.

The opening day provided participants with valuable insights into the technical and practical foundations of coaching cricket skills, while emphasizing the importance of correct techniques, player development, and effective communication as a coach. Through interactive discussions and practical learning sessions, aspiring coaches were introduced to modern approaches in skill development and game understanding.
