10 May by Coach Education Unit
Day 3 of the Level 1 Cricket Coaching Course was successfully completed with engaging theoretical and practical sessions focused on Fast Bowling and Fielding, providing participants with valuable knowledge on two key aspects of the modern game.
The fast bowling session focused on the fundamentals of pace bowling, including run-up rhythm, bowling action, alignment, release mechanics, and follow-through techniques. Participants were also introduced to methods of developing consistency, control, and injury prevention strategies while coaching fast bowlers at grassroots level.
The fielding session emphasized the importance of athleticism, reaction time, movement efficiency, and communication on the field. Coaches were guided through essential fielding techniques such as catching, ground fielding, throwing, and positioning, along with practical drills designed to improve overall fielding standards.
Throughout the day, participants actively engaged in both classroom discussions and on-field practical activities, enhancing their understanding of how to effectively teach and develop these skills within their respective coaching environments.
Day 3 concluded successfully with another productive learning experience, continuing the commitment towards developing knowledgeable and skilled cricket coaches through the Level 1 Coaching Programme.
