The Player Education Program conducted for the Nuwara Eliya District Under-19 Squad Players was successfully held on 08th May 2026 at Radella, with a strong focus on enhancing players’ tactical understanding and decision-making in modern cricket.

The session centered around key areas such as Match Situation Awareness, Game Management, and strategic planning during the 1st Power Play, 2nd Power Play, and Death Overs. Players were educated on how to read game situations effectively, adapt to pressure moments, and make smarter decisions according to the demands of each phase of the match.

Special attention was given to understanding momentum shifts, field placements, batting and bowling approaches during different stages of the game, and the importance of communication and awareness under pressure situations.

The program provided valuable insights for the young cricketers, helping them develop not only their technical skills but also the tactical mindset required to perform consistently in competitive cricket.
