The first day of the Northern Province Level 1 Cricket Coaching Program was successfully conducted with a strong focus on introducing the fundamental principles of coaching and player development.

The sessions covered several key areas including the role and responsibilities of a coach, effective methods of coaching cricket skills, warm-up and warm-down procedures, delivering productive net sessions, and maintaining player safety during training environments. Participants were also introduced to the fundamentals of batting through both theoretical and practical learning activities.

Throughout the day, emphasis was placed on creating positive learning environments, improving communication between coaches and players, and understanding how structured coaching sessions can support long-term player development.

Day 1 provided an excellent platform for aspiring coaches to strengthen their knowledge, practical coaching abilities, and understanding of modern coaching practices within cricket.
