The Level One Coaching Course 2026 – Uva Province successfully concluded its final day at the Badulla DC Ground, marking an important milestone in coach education within the region. Day 4 focused on strengthening the theoretical foundation and professional standards of the participating coaches, ensuring they are fully equipped to guide the next generation of cricketers.

The morning session was dedicated to the Laws of Cricket, where coaches refreshed and deepened their understanding of the rules that govern the game. Emphasis was placed on practical interpretation, match situations, and the role of a coach in ensuring discipline, fairness, and respect for the spirit of cricket. The interactive discussions helped coaches connect technical knowledge with real-game scenarios.

The afternoon session featured individual coach assessments, a crucial component of the Level 1 certification process. Each participant was evaluated on their communication skills, session planning, technical knowledge, and ability to deliver structured coaching sessions. This assessment ensured that every coach met the required standards and demonstrated competency both in theory and practice.

The final day reflected the commitment of Uva Province to raising coaching standards and maintaining quality development pathways. With four days of intensive learning now complete, the coaches leave better prepared, more confident, and ready to positively impact grassroots cricket in the region.

The successful completion of the Level 1 course in Uva Province stands as another step forward in building a stronger and more professional coaching network for the future of Sri Lankan cricket.
