The Level One Coaching Course for Uva Province successfully commenced at the Badulla District Cricket (DC) Ground, marking an important step in strengthening grassroots cricket development in the region. Day One of the program was carefully structured to provide aspiring coaches with both theoretical knowledge and practical experience, laying a solid foundation for their coaching journey.

The day began with an insightful session on the Role of a Coach, where participants explored the responsibilities, leadership qualities, and ethical standards required to guide young cricketers effectively. Emphasis was placed on being not just a technical instructor, but also a mentor, motivator, and role model who influences players both on and off the field.
This was followed by an engaging module on How to Coach Skills, focusing on effective communication, demonstration techniques, observation skills, and providing constructive feedback.
