Dear Parents . . .

Thank you all so much for all you're doing to help our program right now. Trust me . . . I know how much is happening, and all we're asking. However, this is a crucial time of year for our fundraising efforts, and our work now pays huge dividends in the fall.
Attached is the letter with instructions on the Liftathon Fundraiser. (Some of them may not have made it home.) We are off to a great start in our Lift-a-thon fundraiser this year. I just wanted to take a minute and make sure parents understand how we are attacking the fundraiser differently than in years past. In the haste of the month, I realize that I may not have communicated to parents what we are asking from players. If you have not seen the letter we sent home to parents, please look at the attached PDF. Basically, there are three things every player needs to do:
1. Every player needs a helper. Fundraising can be overwhelming to some teenagers. So we ask that every player has a "helper." That may be a parent, a grandparent, a sibling, a family friend . . .whoever that can sit down with players and give them some guidance in this area. A "helper" is always crucial to a player's success. If a player is struggling for help, please ask a coach! EACH PLAYER HAS A SQUAD LEADER WHO CAN HELP.
2. Download 35 contacts into the Money Dolly app. We started with 25 initially on the sheet we sent home to players. Once those were in the APP, we want everyone to reconsider their contacts and business contacts and make sure 35 are in the APP. Consider some of the businesses and people in which you are invested. A list is provided in the attached PDF to help you with the process.
3. Take some time to make sure everything is loaded correctly on the player's profile. A good, clear, smiling face that people recognize goes a long way in gathering support. People want to donate to a face they can recognize. Take some time to make sure your player's profile accurately represents him.
Our approach this year is to do the "homework" correctly. Just like anything else in life, if you do the small things correctly, you will be successful. We have had a great start to our fundraiser, but if we do the homework correctly and get the basics of the fundraiser right, we can really blow this fundraiser up! We will share all of the incentives on the Team App later, but for now, let's make sure we have the homework done. If we do things right, the results take care of themselves.
Again, thank you all so much for your work on our program. It has been great working with our players in the strength and conditioning program, and I have also seen tremendous parental support. I know the task list seems like a lot in March, but trust me, spring break is coming! More importantly, spring football will be here before we know it!!!
