Update 19 th May 2020

19 May 2020 by Todd Butler

To all our players, members & supporters.
Following last nights committee meeting I am pleased to advise all that our club is working hard to a return to training and playing outcome for season 2020.
This will be done under the strict category B restrictions as devised by SA health and the SANFL.
We already have several officials who have undertaken the necessary training and all coaches will be qualified prior to taking trainings.
So Training times are as follows:

Minins/Moddies & Junior colts will not commence training until after June 8th. This is the date when protocol B restrictions are eased and we move to the next level which will make things a lot easier for all involved.

Senior Colts will commence this Wednesday the 20th of May at 4.30 - 6 pm -players must leave the oval and surrounds immediately following training. Training will continue once a week on Wednesdays. Any further training will only be organised in conjunction with club approval. Other age groups are not permitted to undertake these trainings.

For any details regarding underage trainings please contact Denika Burrows or Deon Grace

Women,s - training commenced Monday night and will continue on Mondays & Wednesdays 6.15 - 7.45 pm

For details regarding Women's training please contact Jamie Lang.

A & B grade will commence this Thursday the 21st commencing at 6.30 pm and will continue on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

For full details please contact Scott Wendelborn. To participate in these trainings you basically have to be booked in as we are limited to 30 on the oval. If you haven't heard from Scott or Jamie please get in touch with them.

NOTES:
Please read the overview of Protocol B restrictions prior to training. This will help with the implementation and will help you understand the rules which we have to enforce.
Bring your own water bottles,no taping or massages, change rooms will not be open and please leave the oval and surrounds immediately following training.

Spectators at training are discouraged for this period of restrictions.
This period of restrictions only lasts for the next 3 weeks when we will move to a more relaxed category.

I would again stress despite many things being outside our control the club is doing all in its power to move forward to the playing of footy at Encounter Bay in 2020. Please be assured we are doing this with the health of our community being at the forefront of our thinking.
