Bowls NSW Forum in our Region

19 Jul by Bowls Secretary

From Bowls NSW
The Bowls NSW Board is embarking on the development of our next Strategic Plan—from 2026 onwards—and we are inviting our member Clubs and their individual members, to help shape the future of our sport.

In the coming weeks, Bowls NSW President Dilys Kindleysides, CEO Tim Rowe, and Executive Manager Bowls Lee Stinson will be visiting your Region to engage directly with clubs and members. These forums are designed to listen to your ideas, understand your challenges, and collaborate on a bold, progressive vision for Lawn Bowls in New South Wales.

Why This Matters
This is your chance to contribute to the direction of our sport—at every level. Whether you're a club administrator, bowler, volunteer, or new participant, your input is critical to ensuring the Bowls NSW strategy reflects the needs of our clubs and communities.

We want these sessions to be interactive, transparent, and member-driven. We’ll be using Mentimeter, an online engagement tool, allowing you to provide real-time feedback via your own mobile device. It’s easy—simply scan a barcode on arrival, input your thoughts, and help shape the discussion live. If you don’t have a mobile device, or would prefer to provide your feedback verbally, you are welcome to do so.

There will also be broader opportunities to ask questions of Dilys, Lee, and me throughout the session.

What We’ll Be Asking
To guide the conversation, we’ll seek your feedback on the following:

1. What improvements can Bowls NSW make in the delivery of the sport?
2. What are the biggest challenges facing Lawn Bowls in NSW?
3. What are the biggest opportunities to grow the sport of Lawn Bowls in NSW?
4. What do you see as the role of Bowls NSW?
5. Given that Clubs are the members of Bowls NSW, how can Bowls NSW better support its Member Clubs?
6. What should Bowls NSW focus on in the immediate future?
7. Where do you want Lawn Bowls in NSW to be in the next 3–5 years?
