UPDATE: Highland has pushed back performance times. Our time has changed from 6:30pm to 7:15pm. Practice and departure times are still on track, they will just have some extra time on-site for warm up.

Highland Invitational Itinerary October 2nd, 2021

10:00am Report Time. Eat before you arrive; Leadership report at 9:30am.
10:15am Marching in 2s to Stadium (sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, etc.)
10:30am Rehearsal
12:30pm Full Run Through
12:45pm Polish brass, load trucks/buses***
2:15pm Report to buses
2:30pm DEPART. Absolutely no food or drink on the buses besides water.
3:45pm (Approx) Arrive at Highland High School.
Buses will unload. Students: take everything you need for the
performance and stack in sections. You will then have a few
minutes to visit the restroom/get into halves.
4:30pm Group up silently. Begin to focus on your performance.
4:45pm March to Warm Up Area C
5:00pm Stretch and Visual Warm-up (near warm up area)
5:30pm Music Warm-up: Brass/WW Captions, section tuning. Full
ensemble @ 5:50
6:15 pm Transition to Starting Line
6:25pm ALL Meet up at the gate, entering Home side Side 1 (Same as OC)
6:30pm Performance!! Exit Side 1 (Same as OC). Pit head to track, then
continue North and East around the track. Props continue past
the end zone, THEN exit the stadium to the east. We will circle up
outside the stadium for debrief, then re-enter as a group to
watch other bands!
8:30pm Awards! Immediately following the announcement of awards,
report to the bus and return home.
10:30pm (Approx) Arrive back at OC. All hands on deck to unload, doff
uniforms, and clean the band room. Student dismissal to follow.

This time is designated for students to eat before leaving for the show. Please make sure your student has a plan to either go and get food and return safely on time, or to pack a lunch. Students WILL be allowed to purchase food in between performances after our show.
