There’s nothing quite like the buzz of a Reverse Raffle. It’s the slow-burn suspense, the roar when a mate’s number drops out, and the deafening silence when only a handful of tickets remain in the barrel. On Saturday 28 June 2025 the tension returns as Essendon Royals’ much-loved Reverse Raffle fundraiser takes over the Cross Keys Reserve Pavilion.

Food – The spit will be grilling and the food will be hot!

Drinks on us - beer, wine and soft drink all night (spirits at bar prices).

A crack at $7,500 in cash prizes – every ticket goes in the draw.

How the night runs

Doors open at 6.30 pm for a relaxed hour of food and catch-ups before the first ticket is pulled. From there the numbers fall steadily until just one remains - and whoever’s holding it pockets six-grand.

Stick around; the bar stays open, music cranks up and those consolation draws can still make your night.

Get your ticket - before someone else does

We print a strictly limited run of 400 tickets, and they move fast.

Every team at the club is expected to sell a minimum of three tickets. These can be purchased as a syndicate or group ticket, or sold to individuals outside the club. If your team has three tickets and a squad of 15 players, that's just $20 per player/family to go into the running!

In the event of a syndicate, only one person per ticket can attend (so if from your team of 15 you buy three tickets collectively, only three people can attend the event).
