Dear fellow members as the evening get longer we will be starting the evening club school (previously Pay & Play) sessions from Southwick for both Sailing and Powerboating. These sessions are aimed at those who have completed RYA training or who are experienced who would like to build some hours on the water.
Thursday Evening Sessions
The sailing sessions run using the club sonars and a Cork 1720 on loan. We meet at Southwick 1830 and take the 19:00 lock returning in the 2030 lock for a 21:00 finish. The session will be supervised by a club coach who will be in support on a club powercraft. The powerboating runs along side the sailing and is for those with a powerboat level 2. We will proceed to sea through the same locks as the sailors and again a club coach will be in another powered craft to offer support.
Please note that some events may be in the canal due to weather or tide.
Special Events & Workshops
We will also be planning some special events including a wind farm trip, Sunset sail & power, introduction to spinnakers, Distant sail to Cowes etc.
What would you like to do?
If you have any requests please let us know and we can see if we can arrange. Ideas in the past have included, Day trip up the Thames to the houses of parliament, River trips, Weekend away to watch the start of the fastnet race etc. I look forward to seeing you on the water. Kevin
