Happy Stars Wars Day to all who celebrate, May the Fouce be with you!
Our Hawks had a good showing at the APS Metro Championships with both teams finishing 6th out of 17 teams! We also had a few more state qualifiers with Talen Riley qualifying for the 3200, and Marcos Sedillo qualified for javelin. Carysa Marquez took home a “blue championship” shirt winning the 3200 in a time of 11:10.76!
This week we are back to morning workouts for our district team, with the District Championship taking place on Saturday May 10th at Rio Rancho High School. Details will be posted in a separate post!
On Monday we will have an assembly to recognize all spring sports. Coaches are asking that all our athletes wear any team gear that they have. All athletes should sit on the south side of the gym on the lower level together as a team. Seniors and State Qualifiers will have additional recognition during the assembly. Please sit together as a team!
Reminder that all athletes that have completed their season should wash and return their uniform ASAP to one of the coaches. We need to be able to complete our inventory and turn in a list of missing uniforms to administration in the next few weeks.
