2020 Coffs Harbour Crusaders

Welcome to another season

We have outlined below important information for you so you are ready to go. Please jump in and join the 5 week Get Into rugby program which was a huge event last year.

Any questions please ask.

1. Preseason ‘Get Into Rugby’ Program
• Advertised on the Crusaders facebook page already.
• 5 week national program from 6 March – 3 April (games and training). Friday 5 pm to 6pm.
• $45 cost which will be through Rugby Explorer app. Insurance costs will transfer over to the season proper. Rugby training shirt and a meal for all players that register.

we will have an Aussie 7s or ex wallabies player join us one Friday night.

2. Player subs and club
• 2020 registrations for the season itself will open in March once we have Get costs same as 2019. The cost will be $130 with the$100 active kids vouchers available again now
• We have changed the ‘rugby explorer’ club name to Coffs Harbour Crusaders Junior Rugby Union Club to make registrations easier but select either as it will work.

• Club teams per grade (6 – under 12s, 6 – under 10s, 8 – under 8s) – current estimate
• Everyone that plays for the Barbarians, Woolgoolga, BDC or St Augustines signs up through the Coffs Harbour Crusaders as the parent club. Please list on your registration when the time comes which team you play for or want to play for.

5. Changes in competition
• No changes in 2020 planned at the moment. This will be clarified before the season start.
• We need to encourage all parents, coaches, managers and administrators to read the competition guide
* Our competition is one of the biggest in Australia an certainly well run but we need volunteers and everyone to continue to show good sportsmanship on the field and especially off.

6. Call for coaches and managers
• Advertise for coaches and managers on Monday 10 February for Crusaders teams. We would love to see new coaches.
• Tom Davidson (all coaches and managers) – group coaching night 3 March for all coaches helping at Get Into Rugby or junior coaching ‐ 1.5 hrs tops from 530 pm at the rugby club.
• Tom then has a two night course which I would encourage all coaches to attend which is the Foundation coaching course (level 1). Tom will send a flyer out soon on how to register for this.
