In 2022 Moreland City County changed their name to Merri-Bek due to unsavoury connotations with the name Moreland. Due to our personal beliefs and values of the club we will be changing our name from 2023. After much deliberation we determined that despite our love for the indigenous name Merri-Bek we did not want to ostensibly call ourselves Merri Archers. Therefore we will be changing our name to MELBOURNE Archers from next year. We believe this exemplifies the multitude of suburbs from which our player bases comes from.

We will change our social media at the end of the 2022 season to reflect this change. Our website and email will remain as Moreland Archers until the domain name expires where we will then change this over as well.

We won’t be changing any exisiting uniform but purchases in the future will reflect the name change.
