The Shelbyville community is devastated this week with the passing of Donovan Johnson. I was blessed to have two years with him while I was an assistant coach at Shelby County High School. My own children, wife, and family took the news extremely hard because Don always made an impact in this community. Even when he was out of the country he was encouraging our youth through text or social media. My own children were blessed and encouraged by him. When they were going through the phase of making bracelets, he was the first one that placed an order! He was a true role model that you only hope your own children can grow up to be like. Forever grateful to our former players who become men that make an impact, RIP 32!
