Changes to remaining State League matches

29 Jul 2021 by Andy Davison

Hi everyone,

Well, thank goodness that's over (for this time, anyway). We have received information about what the remainder of the regular season will look like for State League, and the long and short of it is there are no matches in Melbourne this weekend (except for both Reserve 2 teams who play in Bendigo on the weekend).

So we all have the weekend off.

There is a revised draw starting the 7th, and I'll update the calendars here accordingly once I have confirmation from VV.

Conditions for return to play

We will be subject to 100 patrons per indoor space, so unfortunately we expect there will be spectator limits, which again will be advised closer to next weekend.

In the meantime I hope everyone's enjoying this rare opportunity to watch some incredible volleyball in the olympics... my personal favourite so was was watching Japan's Takahasi running a Pipe, and then in mid air changing his mind and setting an 11 that got killed. Just incredible!

If you haven't seen it yet, grab the 7plus app and binge on some great games leading into the finals.

Take care, and I look forward to seeing you all at training next week!

Andy
