Hi Everyone,
The good news is we're back to the game we love this weekend. We have just received a notice from Volleyball Victoria on this, and there are some important changes and information points to note ahead of the games that I'd like to bring to everyone's attention.
Match SchedulesThere have been changes to the match fixtures, which are available on the SportsTG website. Coaches will update the match schedules in TeamApp to reflect this shortly, but for not please refer to the SportsTG website for definitive information (

Note also that this new information includes complete DUTY obligations from Round 12 onwards.
Missed MatchesThere are a few different approaches to the missed matches that have been decided in conjunction with the club delegates. For our program these are:
- Premier Women: Some (not necessarily all) matches will be rescheduled, the aim of which is to ensure that all teams finish having played the same number of matches.
The finals series will include 6 teams.- Reserve Division 1: All missed matches will be marked as draws, with 2 points allocated to both teams.
The finals series will include 8 teams- Reserve Division 2: All teams will play 12 matches,
The finals series will include 8 teamsCOVID PROTOCOLSALL players, coaches, officials and patrons are required to adhere to the following guidelines that will allow for a COVID-safe return to Volleyball:
- Masks will be required for all patrons and participants aged 12+. Players, coaches and referees are exempt whilst on court participating, however masks must be worn at all other times.
- All patrons & participants will need to check in using the Services Victoria QR Code provided and show staff upon entry.
- Utilise enhanced hygiene measures such as utilising hand sanitiser
- Do not share equipment such as drink bottles or sweat towels
- Players, coaches, officials and spectators must maintain social distancing wherever possible
- Arrive no earlier than 15-minutes before your warm-up (or duty requirement). Please meet your team mates outside of the stadium and only all enter once the previous match is completed.
- Exit no later than 5 minutes after your warm down (or duty requirement)
- For spectators, only one parent, or primary caregiver, per underage or dependent players is permitted
- Stay home if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms and get tested!
- ALL TEAMS PROVIDE THEIR OWN SWEAT TOWEL FOR EACH MATCH. This means that when a towel is needed there are at least two available per match and these are not shared between teams. I'm working with the other coaches to have a plan around this obligation.
Any questions, feel free to post them as comments here or to message me directly.
Regards,
Andy
