Saturday 29th February saw East Stirlingshire travel to Glenrothes for the penultimate game of the county season
Fife V East Stirlingshire
First up for Fife was Liza Warrender, who once again posted a very impressive 18.91 in a 2-0 victory. Next up Sam Smeaton who was making her debut, held her nerve, to win 2-1. Andrea Carr kept up the momentum, again winning 2-1. Jane Bassett wrapped things up with a third 2-1 win.

On to the Men's B. First up was Rab Watson, who came out on top 3-1, in a very close game. Scott Baillie got the first point on the board, with a 3-1 win over Brendyn Donnelly. Peter Cessford put Fife back in front with a 3-1 win. Next up Jamie Munn, who continued his excellent form, posting a 28.36 avg in a convincing 3-0 win, checking out 140 for the set, which put Fife 3-1 up. Robert Vaughan got one back for East Stirlingshire, in a very high standard game, defeating James Giles 3-1, both posting 25+ avgs. Last up going for the win was the experienced Ian Paterson. Each leg was tight, where it ended up 2-2, but it was Fife who snatched the last leg, Ian checking out 117 to win the set and the match for Fife

On to the second half, where it was the Women's A. First up for Fife was Linda Hutchison vs the bang in form Sophie McKinlay, who kept up her winning ways, with a 3-0 victory and an impressive 21.17 avg. Fife then rattled off the next 4 sets. Lynn Torrance, Sarah Binnie, Erin McNeill & Chelsea McMahon all victorious. The last set was always going to be a good game, where it was Clare Cruickshanks who came out on top against Steph Gilmour

On to the last match of the day, Men's A. First up was Dean Carr, who was 12th Man against Grampian, had the chance to get Fife of to a good start. It wasn't going to be easy, as he was up against Ex Scottish International Craig Quinn. That didn't seem to phase the Fife man, as he produced another steady game, winning 4-2, with a very good 26.52 avg. Fife then rattled off the next 4 sets, with Alex Jeffery, Jamie Clark, who once again posted an impressive 28.44 avg, Colin Miller & Jimmy Gay all winning. PDC Card Holder Willie Borland got the first set on the board for East Stirlinshire, defeating Kevin Feeley 4-2. Colin Hepplewhite defeated the ever dangerous John Donaldson 4-1. East Stirlingshire won the next 2 sets. Gary Stone defeating Alan Small 4-1 and Graeme Bird who defeated Dayle Morgan 4-3, in amazing 7th leg, Dayle missed 140 c/o for a 12 darter, then had another 3 darts to take the set, but Graeme held his nerve taking out 80 for the win. Paddy Reilly (4-3) & Rab Shaw (4-2) then ensured Fife match, both winning to put Fife 8-3 up. Last set of the day was Aaron French against the undefeated Scott MacLeod. An upset looked on the cards when Aaron raced to 3-1 up and with the finishing line within touching distance, somehow Scott managed to call upon all his experience at the right time, winning the next 3 legs, to come out on top 4-3.
