Camp Reserve Maintenance - Seeking Volunteers (Thursday, 22 Jan)
16 Jan by Nick Kearton
Afternoon CUCC members.
Our financial commitments for use of Camp Reserve are discounted to account for the great work CUCC volunteers do in maintaining the ground and, the non playing areas of the reserve.
I’m hoping to ask for a favor to assist with this maintenance and am seeking volunteers to help with:
- Picking up branches and sticks
- Brush cutting along the fence line and trees
- Some mowing
- Raking leaves for collection by Council.
I addition Glen Carroll (club legend and father of Darcy, also a club legend) is going to assist in sodding the bare area along the eastern boundary. Council are providing the required sand
We are really privileged to be the custodians of Camp Reserve through the summer, it’s an incredible place to play cricket. The club are very grateful to anyone who can volunteer some time after training this coming Thursday to assist.
If anyone can provide a brush cutter, rake or wheelbarrow that would assist. With a good turn out it should only take an hour and will greatly assist.
Please feel free to contact myself or Ian Shields with any questions.
