REP TEAM TRYOUTS FOR 2024 SEASON

Westgate Basketball Association would like to invite all interested athletes to register for the Westgate Imperials representative basketball tryouts for the 2023/2024 season.

Tryout dates are confirmed for U12 through to U18s teams, Age groups and session times listed below. U20s tryouts will be announced soon.

We will be selecting both boys and girls teams for U12s, U14s, U16s, U18 & U20s

TRYOUT INFORMATION:

Tryouts will be hosted at RecWest Braybrook and VU Community Courts at Whitten Oval
Closed Tryout Sessions: no parents or spectators

Athletes must wear shorts and reversible singlet or bring an extra singlet light/dark.

No Imperials or other rep team uniforms or apparel to be worn (any athletes wearing rep uniform will not be able to participate.

Domestic uniforms are OK to wear)
Please arrive 15 minutes before your tryout session and not before.

Athletes must bring a basketball and drink bottle (labelled).

Athletes will have their photo and tryout identification number photographed on entry to assist coaches with player assessment.

We encourage attendance at all sessions to maximise opportunity for selection. However, attendance at two sessions is mandatory for selection (except U16 and U18 girls).

There will be mandatory briefing sessions, one for new to rep parents and one for returning. Dates and times will be communicated closer to tryout dates.
