Hey Gryphons,

We regret to inform you that our season has come to an end. First off, thank you all for being such amazing families. We really enjoyed working with all of you this year. 

Here's the scoop:

Our last regular season game was to be this weekend, however we forfeited that game as it was against Scarborough (as per our email following our last game against them). That being said, there are no other teams for us to play to fill in that game. Leaving us with a bye this weekend.

We are left placing 4th overall in our tier. The playoff structure is first round(Nov 2/3) the 4th and 5th seed play for the consolation game. Regardless of the outcome of the games this weekend, Guelph places 4th and York places 5th overall. Leaving York to come to Guelph.

I spoke with York yesterday to ask if they would have enough players to come down on November 3rd for a 6v6 consolation game, to which they said they likely wouldn't have enough players willing to travel to us for that (I don't blame them). We thanked them for a good season + just left it at that. 

We did request for shuffling of teams in the tiers as they did last year to accommodate an additional game however the requests to the league were denied. 

That leaves us without any additional games to be played, therefore we will not be having a practice this evening and we have scheduled an equipment return for this Thursday October 24th from 7-8pm at 100 Crimea street. Please return all borrowed equipment from GMFA at that time. Peel off any Superman stickers and place them in your programs for a keepsake. 

Details on a year end team party are coming soon!! We want to see you all one last time to celebrate our season.
