Over the past couple of years, Concussion Awareness has been the forefront of Football + Sport Safety protocol across Canada.
Each player regardless of the sport they are playing are at risk for a concussion. The increase in concussions throughout sport, has been correlated to the increase in reports of concussions due to the work in creating awareness around the injury.
In an effort to keep all players safe, GMFA will be adhering to the Football Canada Awareness + Return to Play guidelines.

http://safecontact.footballcanada.com/concussion-education/concussion-return-to-play/It will be an effort by medical personnel, coach, parent, player + doctors to determine safe return to play conditions for any child that suffers a concussion.
Our coaches are trained on the signs + symptoms to look for if a concussion is suspected and will remove any players to be checked out by a medical professional regardless of player/parent recommendations. We ask that everyone take some time to get familiar with the information above.
If you have any questions regarding concussions or symptoms that your child may be experiencing please come and speak to a coach.
Thank you!
