Parents,

As I reflect on the six years of the Slidell Sox, I’m filled with gratitude for the memories we’ve created together—on and off the field. Whether you’ve been part of this journey from the beginning or just recently joined, your sons have made a lasting impact on me, and I’m thankful for every moment.

As Geoffrey Chaucer once wrote, “All good things must come to an end.” This weekend’s tournament in Chalmette will be our final one. I’ve always said, “school ball comes first,” and with the complex high school schedules in June, it’s become increasingly difficult to manage a safe and effective pitching rotation. Player safety and long-term health will always come first.

I’ve been in touch with Coach Babin at PJP, and there’s a plan in place for this weekend:
- PJP players that pitch this weekend are not scheduled to pitch for PJP until Thursday (6/12)
- This allows for proper rest and recovery between outings

As we head into our final tournament, let’s celebrate what we’ve built, cheer loudly, and enjoy this closing chapter. I look forward to seeing everyone this weekend (I’ll be there on Sunday with Thane), as we share one last great experience together.
