Parents!

I hope everyone had a great Spring Break! We are looking forward to seeing everyone who is not involved with a Spring Sport getting back in the room tomorrow for our first FS/GR Training Session. We are not charging for FS/GR we only ask that you have an updated USA Wrestling Card. I have also added the Spring Session calendar which includes competition dates for FS/GR events.

As a reminder we are training from 4/3 through 5/22 at the times below:
Mon & Wed 6:30-8pm
Tuesdays 3-4:30pm

In regards to Summer Camp, we will again be traveling to Iron Sharpens Iron in Illinois from 6/24-6/29. The boys loved the camp last year and raved about the quality of technique, competition, Team Olympic aspect as well as the food! Last year we brought 15 boys (10 HS & 5 JH) and hope to double that number this season. Our HS program took 2nd overall defeating the defending State Champs from Illinois, Coal City HS, in the Semi’s and eventually lost a 5 point match to the 2x Defending State Champs from Louisiana, Jesuit HS. In total we went 11-1 as a team and wrestled 6 teams who placed in their respective state’s Top 10 during the postseason from the 2023-24 season.

Additionally, our JH guys were placed on a team that took Top 12 (48 teams total) and got 10 match in each as well as the same technique and training opportunities. One of our alumni, Logan Kopfler, was their coach for the event.

New This Year: We will add an additional day on the backend of the camp this year so that we are able to compete at Midwest Nationals being held in the same facility we will be training at for the week.

I have attached the information and parental sign-up on this news tab. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to reach out.
