Welcome to Week 6 of the Black Hills Youth Football Season.
It's crazy to think another regular season is coming to an end and the playoffs and BHYFL Cheer Competition are right around the corner.

Lets kick of the final week of the 2022 BHYFL regular season in Piedmont where the Piedmont Valley Panthers Youth Football And Cheer Association play host to four different associations this weekend.
830a - JPW - The 1st game will be no easy task for the home team who currently sits 4th in the standings against the Rapid City Raiders who in their first year have things rolling averaging nearly 35 points a game and giving up a total of just 8 points this year on their way to an undefeated record to this point. It's no doubt this happens to be a "Game of the Week". Panthers are 5-0, while the Raiders are 4-0. The Panthers are currently 4th while the Raiders sit with the 3 seed. The Panthers have not been a stranger to tough games this year so we will see if they can lean on their experience against the Silver -N- Black.
1030a - JPW - We will clear the sidelines for game two as the neighboring Sturgis Buccaneers Youth Football & Cheer Buccaneers will take the home sideline against the Rushmore Ravens Football & Cheer who played their hearts out last week and demonstrated a lot of grit that they should be proud of. This too folks is a huge game. The Bucs are currently a 6 seed with the Ravens on their tail just behind them in 7th. With four undefeated teams sitting at the top, I don't know how much different the seed makes in the playoffs, but I do know a win and you're in, a loss and things could shuffle around a bit, and you could be on the outside looking in. So, let's just kick off the day with a 2nd "Game of the Week".
1230p - MM - In game three we have the Panthers who have been steady all year riding a two-game win streak against the BHYFL Rapid City Steelers hoping to steal a win on the last day of their season.
230p - PW - In game four, The Panthers and Steelers should be in for a cat fight. Both teams are 3-2 on the year and sit in the playoff picture. The Steelers look to rebound from last week's performance while the Panthers hope to leap ahead of them after a Week 6 victory.

Just a reminder the pom poms, cheers, and excitement will be of abundance Sunday starting at 130p at the Sturgis High School gym. Our annual BHYFL Cheer Competition will be in full swing as we all pack the gym and make some noise for our favorite cheerleader and their teammates.

We want to thank all our volunteer who made this possible for our young student athletes. Thank you to the volunteers who help at games, our board members, and our coaches. Thank you to our officials who without them this would just be recess. Thank you to the school districts who allow us to use their facilities and put these kids on some of the best fields in the state of South Dakota. Thank you to the parents, guardians, and fans who help these kids get to and from practice and games. Thank you!
