Week 5 sponsored by Monument Health Health has football weather in the forecast.
We open the morning over in Piedmont as the Piedmont Valley Panthers Youth Football And Cheer Association play host to the BHYFL Rapid City Broncos.
8a - PW - Please notice the change here as the PWs will open the morning rather than the JPW division. Both teams look to put a tally in the win column for the 1st time this year in an early morning contest.
10a - JPW - The undefeated RC Bronco Blue team comes to Piedmont in hopes of strengthening their record against a Panthers team hanging on to the last playoff seed. The Panthers will have to pounce on them early to pick up a little momentum if they have hopes of an upset.
12p - MM - The last game features the undefeated RC Broncos against the once beaten Panther Black. Both teams currently sit inside the playoff picture hoping to pick up a win to bolster their chances of a solid seed for the playoffs.
Let's slide up to Belle Fourche Colts where we have the Spearfish Rams BHYFL making the short trek to play the Colts.
10a - MM - This first game should be fun to watch with two evenly matched teams to kick things off.
12p - JPW - The Rams come after rebounding last week against a young Colts team hoping to surprise everyone with a little homefield cookin'.
2p - PW - The Colts look for a big time upset this week against a Rams team ready to lock horns.
The Box Elder Patriots will again this week call New Underwood their home field as they host the BHYFL Rapid City Steelers where we have the potential for some barn burners.
10a - MM - The RC Steelers sit atop the MM division at 4-0 while the Patriots have their sites set sitting at the four seed and teams on their tail. The Steelers have not been tested much this year so it will be interesting how the high-flying Patriots do.
12p - JPW - Much is the same for the second game as the Patriots sit outside the playoff picture while the Steelers sit undefeated ranked 2 in the JPW division. This is a must win for the Patriots if they have hopes to still stay in the playoff picture.
2p - PW - Things are a bit flipped in the third game as the Patriots look to hold onto the final spot of the playoffs while the Steelers are on the outside looking in and hope to bounce above .500.
Over in Wall we have the Badlands Eagles Youth Football and Cheerleading the Hot Springs Bills
12p - MM - Both teams sit with one loss on the year and need to make a final push in the back half of the season to solidify their position in the post season.
2p - JPW - Both teams sit towards the bottom of the division with a lot of pride to play for. Should be an entertaining game on the green turf.
4p - PW - We wrap up the day with the lights on and they will be bright. Both the Eagles and Bills sit at 2-1 and can't afford a loss if they look to make the playoffs. After a forfeit last week due to Covid the Bills hope to saddle up and get back on the field against an Eagles team who had their wings clipped last week. Hey Bills fans, I'm going to try this again since last week didn't work out too well... "The Game of the Week".
In Deadwood we are going to crank the lights on. Lead-Deadwood Youth Football Association
2p - MM - The Piedmont Valley Panther Blue team strolls into town to take on a 49ers team. Both teams have not had lady luck on their side this year.
4p - JPW - The RC Bronco Orange team hopes to rally the troops and knock off the 49ers who currently sit in playoff contention.
6p - PW - We will put a bow tie on the week when the undefeated 49ers take on the RC Bronco Orange PWs. The Broncos will play all their cards in this one.
We would like to thank Monument Health as our Week 5 sponsor.
