Rothwell Juniors Football Club
COVID-19 Training Guidance
Version 3 published 25th July 2020
General Guidelines
● Anyone feeling unwell with COVID-19 symptoms should not attend training and must be sent home. Every participant must complete a self assessment before attending each session.
● Each manager leading a session should complete / review a risk assessment before starting. The club secretary or COVID-19 officer will assist you with this the first time.
● Each player must have completed a COVID-19 training consent form before attending.
● Training times are 50 minutes to allow for a 10 minute change over period between
sessions. This is the minimum change over period allowed under current FA guidance.
● The clubhouse and toilets will be closed, please ask players to use the toilet at home before
travelling to site.
● For junior players, parents must remain on site in their vehicles whilst the training session is
running. This is so they can attend to the player in the event of an injury.
● First Aid can only be administered by a coach in the event of a serious life or limb threatening injury and they should wear the appropriate PPE. Call 999 if emergency
medical support is needed.
● One group of up to 30 people is allowed on each half of the 3G pitch in each session, this
includes both players and coaches. The 3G pitch central curtain must be closed to keep
groups separate.
● Social Distancing in line with Government guidance must be maintained before, during
breaks and after the session. Prolonged close contact during the session and heading the
ball should be minimised.
● Hand Sanitiser must be used when entering the pitch, during breaks and when leaving the
pitch.
● All balls, equipment and goals must be cleaned before the session, during breaks and after
the session. Goalkeeper gloves cannot be shared.
● No bibs are allowed, unless each player is assigned a bib they take home to keep and they
are not removed during the session.
● Drinks should be in named bottles and cannot be shared.
● Players must not spit. Players must not shout while facing others in close proximity.
● No one should arrive more than 5 minutes before the session start time and everyone
should leave site within 5 minutes of the end time.
● Any rubbish must be taken home and not left for someone else to pick up afterwards.

Hand Sanitiser
Hand Sanitiser bottles with a pump will be at each entrance for player and coaches to use on the way in and out. Please supervise players doing this. The pump only needs a small push, otherwise a lot comes out!
Four 5 litre bottles of hand sanitiser were very kindly donated by local company JLEC Electrical (
https://www.jlec.co.uk/) and have been a great help getting this up and running.
They have an online shop
https://www.jlec.co.uk/store that has products to help businesses stay COVID-19 secure.
