Wet Weather Advice – Game Day

3 May 2019 by Holly Draper

Just a reminder that matches are ALWAYS on unless you are advised otherwise.

A match will only be postponed where a field has been closed by the local council or the host club. This decision is solely based on whether there is a risk of injury to players or whether there is a risk of damage to the fields.

In the event of wet weather, please check Southern Districts Football Assoc Facebook page on the morning of the match to confirm if your field has been closed. They will update field closures gradually as they are advised by clubs.

Important: SDSFA will only list fields that are closed. If it is not listed, the field is not closed and the match is still on.

If you are scheduled to play at Hammondville Park, we will also update Moorebank Soccer Club Facebook page and send a message out via Team App.

Please refrain from asking SDSFA or MSC via text, Facebook, Whats App etc about the status of a particular park or field. Again, if it is not listed as closed, the field is open and the game is on.

Failure to turn up and play matches results in substantial fines which will be passed back to teams to pay. It is also not good sportsmanship to leave the opposition hanging, expecting to play a match and we haven’t turned up.

If you have any questions, please talk to your Coach or Manager
