MOTION 1. Review of Membership Fees

It is a Constitutional requirement to review our club fees each year and vote on this at the AGM.
Committee discussions have suggested options of:

a) No change;

b) Raising fees to £15pm for playing members and £7.50pm for supporters;

c) Keeping fees at £10pm/£5pm but charging ‘match fees’ of £5 per player per
game.

Results:

a) No change - 1 vote (5%)
b) Raising to £15pm for members and to £7.50 for supporters - 8 votes (40%)
c) Keeping fees and charging match day fees - 11 votes (55%)

In accordance with the constitution for majority vote - option c has been decided on by the membership. We won’t implement change in fees until the 2020/2021 committee determines it appropriate given the presumed delay to the start of the season.

MOTION 2: Participation in the UK IGR League North

The 2020/21 season is evidently going to be truncated due to the pandemic, but we need to decide as a team that when the RFU allow the restart of community rugby we will (or will not) participate in the UK IGR League North Championship. The Chair tables the motion that the Hull Roundheads will participate.

a) Yes - agree
b) No - disagree

Results:

a) Yes - agree - 18 votes (90%)
b) No - disagree - 2 votes (10%)

In accordance with the constitution for majority vote - option a has been decided on by the membership therefore Hull Roundheads will be entering the UK IGR League North Championship league.

MOTION THREE: Development of a Touch Rugby side

From the outset, it has been the ethos of the Hull Roundheads to promote rugby as an inclusive sport for all, especially within the LGBTQ+ community. The RFU and the IGR have recently joined forces to create an initiative to link inclusive clubs (like ours) to O2 Touch Rugby. The Chair proposes that Hull Roundheads should now take advantage of that initiative and the support it offers to launch a Roundheads Touch Rugby team and further open the Roundheads community to all who might not have been able (or willing) to participate in full-contact rugby. The motion is to a) approve our involvement with this initiative; b) add a new Committee post of ‘Touch Team Co-ordinator’ to oversee
this; c) announce the launch through our media channels to assess interest and begin recruitment.

a) Yes - agree
b) No - disagree

Results:

Yes - agree - 20 votes (100%)
No - disagree - 0 votes (0%)

In accordance with the constitution for majority vote - option a has been decided on by the membership therefore Hull Roundheads will be setting up a Touch Team.
