A specialized Coach Education Program was conducted for school coaches in Kurunegala at the Welagedara Stadium, focusing on the theme “Designing a Session to Improve Player Performance.” The workshop highlighted modern approaches to planning effective training sessions that combine technical, tactical, and physical elements in a structured and purposeful manner. Coaches were introduced to methods for setting clear objectives, progressing drills, and measuring player improvement. Practical demonstrations emphasized adapting sessions to player skill levels, game situations, and performance demands. The program successfully enhanced the knowledge and confidence of school coaches, equipping them with updated tools and strategies to develop young cricketers with greater efficiency and professionalism.
